2016 - New Zealand is one of the best countries in the world! Auckland, NZ, Dr Mobiles LImited 0800429429 iPhone Repair

http://goo.gl/Ff6kBK

New Zealand
has once again been named one of the best countries in the world.

In the first ever Best Countries rankings from US News, Aotearoa made the list at number 11, narrowly missing out on the top ten.

The report was based on how global perceptions defined a country and looked at a number of characteristics and impressions. More than 16,000 people from around the world were surveyed.

We were beaten by our neighbour Australia, which was ranked at number six. The results were divided into a number of categories.

For adventure, New Zealand was ranked at number five, after Brazil, Italy, Spain and Thailand.

The report said that each visitor to New Zealand would spend $2842 on tourism during their visit.

Aotearoa also performed well in the categories of citizenship (number eight), open for business (number six) and quality of life (number six).
Despite our interesting culture and history, we didn't do too well when it came to heritage - coming in at number 34. Our low ratings for history and cultural attractions could perhaps be explained by New Zealand being a relatively young country compared to others on the list.

We also scored low when it came to power (number 34), receiving a big zero for "strong military" and "politically influential".

However, our country was described in glowing terms such as "picturesque" by the report - although it seemed confused over whether Auckland or Wellington was the capital.
"The Kiwi spirit and culture are personified by such notable natives as Sir Edmund Hillary who first climbed Mount Everest in 1953 and Lord Rutherford, who split the atom," it read.
"The bungee jump, Hamilton Jet boat, referee's whistle and frozen meat are also credited to New Zealanders."

It's certainly not the first time our greatness has been recognised. A global UN report in 2015 ranked New Zealand the ninth best country in the world - an honour we share with Canada.

Also last year, Auckland's Waiheke Island was named as the fifth best destination in the world by Lonely Planet.

Apple Applies For Patent To Remotely Disable JailBroken iPhone (Auckland, New Zealand)

U.S Copyright Office had exempted jailbreaking iPhone from the Digital Millennium Copyright Act making it legal for users in the US to jailbreak their iPhone.
At that time, we had mentioned that it wouldn’t stop Apple from making it difficult to jailbreak iOS to stay ahead in the cat and mouse with the iPhone hacking community.
Apple had also clarified that unauthorized modification of the iOS violates the warranty of the iOS-based device.
Apple has applied for a patent titled “Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device”, which will allow it to remotely disable an iPhone, iPador iPod Touch if it detects any unauthorized activity that indicate suspicious activity such as entering a incorrect password a predetermined number of times or within a period of time, hacking, jailbreaking or unlocking the iOS-based device.
Ars Technica reports:
The patent, titled “Systems and Methods for Identifying Unauthorized Users of an Electronic Device,” describes several ways a device could sense who is using an iPhone or iPad. Among the methods considered are voice print analysis, photo analysis, heartbeat analysis (!), hacking attempts, or even “noting particular activities that can indicate suspicious behavior.”
The device could automatically snap pictures of the unauthorized user and record the GPS coordinates of the device, as well as log keystrokes, phone calls, or other activity.
Once an unauthorized user is detected, the device can then automatically disable certain features or send notifications to Twitter or other services.
The patent describes how Apple plans to detect an unauthorized user:
[0060]To detect an unauthorized user, process 610 of FIG. 6b can determine whether particular activities are identified at step 612. As described above, the particular activities can include any activities indicating suspicious behavior such as, for example, entering an incorrect password a predetermined number of times in a row, entering an incorrect password a predetermined number of times within a period of time, hacking the electronic device, jailbreaking the electronic device, unlocking of the electronic device, removing a SIM card from the electronic device, moving the electronic device a predetermined distance from a synced device, or any combination of the above. If a particular activity is identified, the current user can be detected as an unauthorized user at step 614. If, however, a particular activity is not identified, process 610 can end at step 616.
Though the patent seems to indicate that Apple’s intention is to protect iPhone users from their device being accessed by an unauthorized user, the description of unauthorized activityespecially jailbreaking and unlocking has raised eyebrows since the patent doesn’t provide details on whether Apple or the owner of the device will have the ability to remotely disable the device.
It would be useful if the owner has the ability to remotely disable the device from say his/her MobileMe account based on what the owner thinks is unauthorized activity but would be controversial if Apple wants to control this feature.

It is also important to note here that Apple like othercompaniespatents ideas and so this feature might never see the light of day.  Let us know your views in the comments section below.

Strange but True Report: Mediums get grant to talk with the dead

Two psychics have been given government funding to teach people how to "communicate with the dead". Paul and Deborah Rees have been awarded £4,500 under the Government's Want2Work job creation scheme, reports the Daily Telegraph. The couple, from Bridgend, south Wales, will use it to instruct people on how to contact friends and relatives "on the other side". Critics are astonished at the award by the Department of Work and Pensions bureaucrats, and the Welsh Assembly has launched an investigation. The mediums insist the "mere £4,500" of public money will be put to good use at their centre, the Accolade Academy of Psychic and Mediumistic Studies. Mr Rees, 40, a former upholsterer, said: "People who have lost mums and dads or a child deserve all the respect in the world in their grieving, and they deserve a medium who can give them respect. "Our job is to provide substantial evidence to bring ease to people's grieving - and that's what I would say to people who query the award." Mr Rees said he had his 37-year-old wife had to negotiate "a lot of red tape" to secure the grant, which is intended to help start-up businesses. "They hadn't invested in psychics before so we really had to prove ourselves," he said. But Tory Welsh Assembly member Jonathan Morgan said: "It is an utter disgrace that taxpayers' money is being wasted and given to an organisation that believes it can teach people how to communicate with the dead."
