Did you Know That There is a Secret Mailbox in your Facebook inbox? Apple iPhone Repair, Dr Mobiles Limited

Did you know that there is a mailbox that is hidden in the inbox of Facebook? Probably some people already know about the secret mailbox, but there are a lot of people who have no idea about it and perhaps they have hundreds of messages in that “hidden or secret” folder within Facebook.
Facebook automatically filters annoying messages that are considered as Spam and separates them from your inbox into a folder called “other.”
If you want to know what messages you have in that folder from your phone, at first open Messenger, then go to Settings and click on “people,” then in the message request, seek for the infiltrators applications and there you will find the list of hidden messages. If you’re on a computer click “Messages”, then “see all” at the top; and there is a drop down menu called “more,” click there and then click “filtered”. Usually these messages are spam, but perhaps among them you can find someone known who has been trying to contact you for a long time.
So now you know how to check all your Facebook messages. Don’t ever miss important messages.

Amazing Things To Do Immediately With Your New iPhone 6S - Auckland Apple iPad Repair, drmobiles 0800429429

iphone 3d touch
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are the first iPhones to feature “3D touch“. 3D Touch allows the iPhone to detect how hard you’re pressing, and you can press harder on the screen in some places to do different things.
When you press down on the screen, the glass bends a tiny bit. A capacitive sensor under the glass measures the distance between the sensor and your finger to determine how hard you’re pressing down.
Use a Keyboard Touchpad

This extremely useful feature has been overlooked by many, but 3D Touch offers a very easy way to position your text cursor while typing. Rather than touching somewhere in the block of text you’re typing, you can use a much more precise method.
Just hard-press anywhere on the touch keyboard. The letters will vanish from the keys, indicating it’s now a touchpad. Move your finger around to move the cursor around the text box you’re typing in. Lift your finger when you’re done.

Activate Quick Actions on Your Home Screen

Most of Apple’s own apps now include “Quick Actions” you can access right from your home screen. Many third-party apps have also added quick actions, and more and more apps are supporting this every day.
To use a quick action, just hard-press an application’s icon on your home screen. Instead of the application opening, you’ll see shortcuts you can tap to go directly to an action in the application. For example, hard-press the Clock app and you’ll see shortcuts for “Create Alarm” and “Start Timer”. Hard-press a social media or messaging app’s icon and you’ll see shortcuts to create a new post or send a new message. Hard-press Safari to quickly open a new tab or access your reading list. The actions supported depend on the app — try it out.
If an app doesn’t support quick actions, you’ll just get some haptic feedback and a menu won’t appear after you hard-press it.

Switch Between Apps

Rather than double-pressing the Home button twice to open the app switcher, you can hard-press the left edge of the screen and swipe to the right to quickly switch to a previous app. Swipe enough to the right and you’ll simply swipe an old app onto your screen, but you can also swipe a bit to the right and release. The app switcher will then appear, just as if you had double-pressed the Home button.

Draw With Pressure Sensitivity

3D Touch enabled pressure-sensitive drawing in different note-taking and drawing applications. For example, the Notes application included with your iPhone has support for this. Evernote, Microsoft’s OneNote, and Paper have already added support for this, too.
You can play with this by opening the “Notes” app on your IPhone. Create a new note and tap the squiggly-looking “Draw” icon at the bottom of the note. Draw with your finger and you’ll notice you can make the lines thicker by pressing down harder, as if you were drawing on paper.

“Peek” and Swipe Up

Apple is attempting to create some new interaction methods, which it’s named “Peek” and “Pop”. These are supported throughout many of Apple’s own apps, and third-party apps are beginning to support them, too.
To use “peek”, you hard-press on something — a link in the Safari web browser, an email message in the Mail app, a photo in the Photos or Camera app, a link to a map in any app, and so on. That web page, email, photo, map, or other item appears in a little preview pane. You can then lift your finger and the preview pane will go away, so this is an easy way to “peek” at a web page, email, or something else without leaving the current screen.
While peeking, you can swipe up to access more actions. For example, while peeking at an email you can swipe up and find shortcuts to quickly reply to, forward, mark, or move the email message.

“Pop”

If you decide you want to load the thing you’re previewing, you can press down even harder. That’s the “pop” action. The item you’re “peeking” at will then “pop” into view, loading as a normal web page, email, photo, map, or other item of its type would.

Play Live Photos (as an Animated Lock Screen, Too)

If you purchased a new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, then you may be loving the new Live Photos feature....[Read Article]
If you’ve taken live photos, you can open the Photos app and hard-press a photo to have it animate.
Apple also allows you to use live photos as an animated lock screen. You can take your own live photos and then set them as your lock screen, but your iPhone also includes a few default live photos you can set as your lock screen.
These won’t always appear animated on your lock screen, however. You’ll ned to hard-press on your lock screen after setting a live photo as your background. The live photo will then animate.

Adjust the Sensitivity or Turn It Off

If you’d like to adjust 3D Touch’s settings, you can open the Settings app and navigate to General > Accessibility > 3D Touch. From here, you can disable or enable 3D Touch and control how sensitive it is.

This can’t be a complete list, of course. New types of applications — especially games experimenting with new input schemes — could use 3D Touch in a wide variety of different ways. 3D Touch is really just a new type of input, and it’s up to app developers to take that and run with it. But you can expect many applications to support peek, pop, quick actions, and the other features Apple has started off with.

2016 Power Tips: How to install multiple SIM cards into an iPhone 6s? Dr Mobiles Limited, Auckland, Apple iPhone Repair

X-Twin 6S Plus dual SIM case adapter for iPhone 6S Plus

Want to install an extra SIM card in your iPhone 6s? Here's how to do just that.

While most people manage quite well with a single SIM card, if you want better demarcation between your work and home life, or you want to make roaming with multiple SIM cards easier, then having the extra SIM already in your smartphone is going to be a real timesaver.

But how do you install an extra SIM or two into the iPhone 6s? After all, that SIM tray is far too small to accept another SIM.

Fear not! Here's how you do it. And don't worry, as no jailbreaking is required.

Enter the SIMore X-Twin 6S Plus, a dual SIM device that allows you to have 2 SIM cards (1x nano SIM, and 1x standard SIM) in your smartphone. The nano SIM sits in the SIM card tray along with the tail of the X-Twin 6S Plus adapter so that it makes contact with the SIM card pin assembly inside the handset (yes, that ribbon cable is thin enough to fit between the SIM tray and the body of the iPhone 6. Then the other SIM card fit into the adapter.

Now you don't want to be walking around with a ribbon cable hanging off your handset, which is why you pop it all into a supplied case, which keeps everything tidy. The case also protects your handset and also servers as a holder for additional SIM cards and a SIM tray popout pin.

And that's it. You switch between SIM cards from the iOS interface by going Settings > Phone > SIM Applications.

The kit, which includes the adapter and a case for your iPhone 6s, is €35 (around $40). If you have an iPhone 6s Plus you can still use the kit but you'll need to find a flexible rubber case to house the adapter.

There are also versions available for other popular handsets, such as the Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6.

Some of the ways to preserve battery life for iOS 8 and iPhone 6. Auckland #iPhonerepair, #ipadrepair, #drmobiles

After waiting hours on line or waiting patiently at home for your order to be delivered, you finally have the new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus in the palm (or palms) of your hand. But you may have noticed that the latest iOS 8 software is draining the battery life out of your Apple device.
The software update— which can also be downloaded on older Apple devices— includes new features that make the operating system work harder, which in turn sucks up more battery. Unlike older models, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus that run on iOS 8 are less likely to suffer from this problem because of stronger batteries. But no matter what iPhone you have, it's still a good idea to know how to keep battery use efficient. Here are some ways to preserve your iPhones battery life so that you do not face the fatal situation of a dying phone.
1. Identify what is draining the battery
(Photo : Apple)
The updates to iOS 8 allow Apple users to see a breakdown of what apps are using the most power. To find which apps have been draining your devices battery over the last 24 and up to a week, go to Settings > General > Usage > Battery Usage. Close the applications or delete any that are not needed.
This feature may take some time to start working if your iPhone is new because it needs enough data to pull from. Let your new phone run for a few hours first.
2. Turn off location-tracking apps
  (Photo : Apple)
When you are in need of GPS directions, location-tracking apps are a necessity. However, tracking each move you make is one of the phone's biggest battery drainers.  The updated iOS 8 allows users to select a "While Using" option for some apps like Facebook, which will let you see locations for nearby friends when the app is open.
To monitor this feature, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services.  Apple users can still leave on functions like Find My iPhone from this menu. Go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Share My Location, to turn off another battery draining feature. Just turn it back on when you want to share your current location through messages.
You can also turn off your Wi-Fi from the Settings menu, which can save battery life when you aren't using your phone.
3. Manage notification widgets
 (Photo : Apple)
Apple users can access the Notification Center easily by pulling down the menu from the top of the screen and customizing your 'Today' view. These widgets include weather updates and sports scores, which can use up some valuable battery life. You can now select which widgets you want to turn off by tapping the "Edit" menu.
You can also go into Settings > Notifications and scroll through to turn off notifications from apps like Netflix.
4. Turn off Handoff
Handoff allows Apple users to seamlessly move from device to device, such as when you are writing an email and switch off between your iPhone and iPad. If you are not planning on multitasking between devices, turn off this battery draining feature by going to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps.

5. Stop fetching
The fetching function pushes email notifications to your home screen, a process that drains your battery. Instead, manually check your email and turn off this feature by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data.

Other more obvious ways to get the most battery life out of your new iPhone is to turn down the brightness in Control Center by going to Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness and disabling Auto-Brightness. Another big battery killer for iOS 8 is the parallax feature, which makes it seem like your wallpaper is moving behind your list of apps. Turn this off by going to Settings > General > Accessibility and turning on the Reduce Motion.
