Top 10 Reasons why PlayStation Suite makes Android a gaming winner?

The dawn of PlayStation Suite for Android marks a huge turning point for gaming on Google’s OS. At last, we’re not only getting a third-party app store that matters, but also one that’ll put phones using the Big G’s software bang up against the iPhone and its dominant position in the world of mobile gaming. Here’s our Top 10 reasons why Sony’s store will make Android the go-to OS for gamers.

1 It’s “hardware neutral”

Essentially, this means it’ll work on any Android phone running 2.3 or higher, whether they come with physical controls or touchscreens. That means games won’t be built with just one device in mind, so gamers can essentially own whichever Google phone they like and still play nice.

2 PlayStation titles

Sony says that classic PSOne titles will be up for grabs when PlayStation Suite launches later this year. That immediately makes this a more hardcore proposition than the iPhone, with the chance to reminisce over some seriously classy games.

3 It’ll be available on the NGP, AKA PSP 2

The Next Generation Portable might not be a phone, but the Suite’s position on the device means devs creating new games will be striving to build games for punters on a full-on gaming platform as well as one based on a mobile phone. That should mean the quality is high.

4 It’s being monitored

One of the key complaints about Android Market is its lack of approval process. Not so PlayStation Suite, which Sony says will have a ‘Certified’ programme to ensure titles are up to snuff. Google could certainly learn something here from the Big S.

5 It’s not just for phones

That “hardware neutral” factor again. Sony says “tablet PCs” will work with PlayStation Suite, all meaning Honeycomb tablets will be able to get a slice of the gaming action and take the iPad on at its own game.

6 There’s money to be made

Sony has said one of its key concerns with its Android games store is helping devs “expand their business opportunities”. Put simply, that means it wants to make them money. With Google admitting that devs are struggling to cash in via Android Market, perhaps PlayStation Suite is a smarter, more lucrative alternative.

7 Exclusive games

Sony-backed games are more likely to find their way onto PlayStation Suite than onto the App Store. That means you’ll only be able to snag certain titles using Android, immediately putting Apple at a disadvantage.

8 No looking back to old versions of Android

The fact Sony is opting to put this on Gingerbread or higher shows it’s aware of the damage of trying to bring this to older devices that won’t be able to hack the pace of resource heavy games. PlayStation Suite pushes Android further towards the top tier of smartphones.

9 It gives Android the gaming impetus pre-MWC

All the gaming talk at MWC will focus on PlayStation Suite and how it works on the forthcoming Xperia Play (aka the PlayStation Phone). Without it, gaming would not be a big factor at the world’s biggest mobile show.

10 Utilising bigger screens

Android phones’ larger screen real estate is prime for gaming content, so blowers with panels of 4-inches will be perfect for the PlayStation Suite. The iPhone’s smaller number will have t get bigger this summer if it wants to compete.

Samsung Galaxsy S2 Android Contender trailed in two epic videos

Official promo clips for the Samsung Galaxy S2 Android powered smartphone have surfaced online, ahead of its official launch at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC).
Posted on the Samsung Unpacked site, the videos reveal scant details about what the handset offers. But that’s not too much of a loss given that we’re already pretty au fait with the dual core processor and Android 2.3-packing Galaxy S2’s spec sheet thanks to some high-profile leaks.
As seems to be de rigeur in the ad world these days, both clips have a stirring soundtrack that recalls Icelandic post-rock pixies Sigur Ros, along with portentous statements and shots of the phone bathed in a yellow glow that makes us think of the mysterious contents of the case from Pulp Fiction.
Sammy is set to unwrap its flagship handset for 2011 on February 13th at a press event on the eve of the MWC – along with a number of new additions to the Galaxy family, including a successor to the Galaxy Tab slate.
Rumoured specs for the successor to the best-selling Samsung Galaxy include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, an eight-megapixel snapper with video recording in lovely 1080 HD and Near Field Communication support for Oyster card-style contactless payments.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X12 Arch landing in April on 02,UK.

The latest member of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia family, the X12 Arc, is set to hit store shelves in the UK in April on O2.

Just last week we reported a product listing o f the Arc on Play.com, which is offering the handset on preorder from April 1st. Now a holding page on the O2 website has also put the release date for the Arc as ‘Coming Soon: April’, giving smartfans a real hope for a spring release.

The Arc was unveiled earlier this month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and undeniably sports some of the smartest specs yet to feature on a SE handset.

Among these are a super-slim body that measures just 8.7 mm and boasts some slick curvature, which lends the phone its name, a massive 4.2-inch ‘Reality display’ touchscreen with Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine, an eight-megapixel snapper with HD recording skills and Exmor R sensor for low light snapping, an HDMI port to stream clips directly to an HDTV and up to 32GB of memory via the onboard microSD slot.

More importantly, it will run Android 2.3, AKA Gingerbread, out of the box, so there’ll be no dilly-dallying with updates whenever it ships.

Sony Ericsson is due to hold its own special event in London on February 16th while its rivals tries to impress at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Along with the Arc, we expect the smartphone maker to officially unveil the no-longer-a-secret Xperia Play.

The First Record of a Time Traveler (Google Android Phone Repair, http://go.to/abby)

"Reopening of the South Fork Bridge after flood in Nov. 1940. 1941 (?)"

It's the short description for the photograph shown at the virtual Bralorne Pioneer Museum, from British Columbia, Canada. The image can be seen specifically on this page (scroll down to the middle), among other items of the online exhibit. Did you notice anything out of place? Or perhaps, out of time?

The man with what appears to be very modern sunglasses seems to be wearing a stamped T-shirt with a nice sweater, all the while holding a portable compact camera!

Internet people reached to the obvious conclusion: it's a time traveller caught on camera on 1940! Finally, we have proof!

If the story seems straight out of a movie and the photo is in itself a great funny find, the most amusing thing i came up with while looking into this – as an Internet person, on the Internet – was the reply for a skeptical, or perhaps somewhat cynical comment on how spurious it would seem the idea that a time traveler would want to visit the reopening of a bridge in some small town in Canada.

Read this on Doc Brown's voice: "Of course, because we know nothing happened there right? But if we are considering time travel, how can we know if in some other timeline something historical happened right there?"

Indeed! Once you consider time travel, everything changes. But before writing Hollywood scripts, let's get back to reality and ask again: is the photo evidence of a time traveller?

T
he source
As noted, the image is indeed available through the official website for Canada's museums. It was part of the exhibit "Their Past Lives Here" from Bralorne-Pioneer, available to the public since 2004. It was put online since February this year, perhaps before that. And the peculiar "time traveller" image was only noted as such in the end of March, when it was linked on main websites such as Above Top Secret and FARK.

Given the source, we would assume the photo is authentic, and correctly dated to c.1940. Indeed, an Error Level Analysis suggests the image was not digitally tampered with, or at least that if it was, the author was smart enough to normalize the error across the whole thing. It's a good job, if it was a job. And again, given the source, we would assume it was not a job.

So, how do we explain the man out of time?

2010: The Most Shocking News of the Year! Apple iPhone 4 Repair, http://go.to/abby

Plenty of events and impressive stories happen each year. The year 2010 has passed, but the amazing and shocking stories in the year are still in the mind of people worldwide. A Polish man found a bullet in his head after five years being shot, a 17-year-old boy in the United States was shot due to wearing saggy pants, a woman also in the United States was named as the fattest woman in the world, a man from Oregon region of the United States wearing a "ghillie" camouflage broke into a museum, and so on are considered as the most shocking stories last year.

A 36-year-old man named Gregory Liascos living nearby Portland in Oregon, US was charged with burglary and criminal mischief when he was found wearing a "ghillie" camouflage and attempting to break into the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals.

It was reported that a 17-year-old boy named Cameron Tucker in Tennessee, U.S was shot due to wearing saggy pants. The man named Kenneth Bonds was arrested by Tennessee's police and jailed on a $25,000 bond.

It is difficult to believe that the little baby Ryleigh Shepherd is the images of her 11-year-old twin sisters Megan and Bethany when they were babies.

The three cute girls were born on the same day. While the embryos of twins Megan and Bethany were implanted in their mother in 1998, Ryleigh's was frozen for more than 11 years.

A dog named Soli in Rockville, Maryland was in the doghouse after he swallowed a diamond worth more than $20,000, causing panic for the owners of a jewelry shop outside Washington DC

A 35-year-old Polish man living in Germany didn't know that there is a bullet in his head because he was shot when he was drunk. The bullet was discovered when he went to the doctor five years after the accident.

Terri Smith from Ohio in Unites States is considered as the fattest woman in the world. The 49-year-old woman weighs 700 pounds. She is trapped in her bedroom, unable to move, stand or roll over by herself.

A 15-month-old baby girl had been playing with her 4-year-old sister in the 7th-floor Paris apartment when she suddenly fell out the window.

It was so lucky that the baby bounced off of a café awning below directly into the arms of her father and seemed to have no serious injuries.
