Cheaper iPhone In The Works According to Tim Cook

We’ve had rumors of a cheaper iPhone coming along before, and now Apple COO Tim Cook has gone and hinted at the smae thing. After having a little chat with Forbes, he somewhat confirmed rumors of the smaller, weaker and cheaper iPhone 5 that’s in development

Cook claims that Apple was “not ceding any market” and doesn’t want its products to be “just for the rich.” Which would be a wise move by Apple has currently the iPhone is easily one of the most expensive smartphones out there.

In addition to that, the article he “appeared to reaffirm the notion that Apple is likely to develop lower priced offerings.”

Maybe this could be the iPhone Nano we’ve heard whispers about. Or it could be a cheaper lower spec iPhone 5 aimed at the pay as you go market?  But just to reconfirm, Tim Cook doesn’t specifically say that Apple is, but he certainly hints towards saying that it’s Apples “strategy”

Who knows, we’ll just have to wait and see for now.

Whitney Houston’s Daughter is a Fan of Cocaine

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, is featured in the new issue of the National Enquirer. The 18-year-old is allegedly addicted to cocaine, and the pullquote reads,”I’m just like my mother.” Pictures of “Krissi,” as she is known to her friends, show her surrounded by lines of cocaine at two different parties. As you may recall, she was admitted to a psychiatric ward in 2008 after trying to kill herself. The mag claims she “smokes marijuana, guzzles beer and gets smashed on Everclear.” The source on all this, is, of course, a former boyfriend. He claims he’s trying to save her life; we suspect he made a pretty penny off of sharing the pix.

She then went on her twitter to respond:

The pictures_ a former very dear person to me did this. Set me up to make it look exactly what it looks like. God will smite them yes..But it’s really not what it looks like.. People will do anything for money which is extremely sad, and I’m very hurt by this.Thing’s people do these days to hurt others is a shame. All I can do now, is keep my head up high, keep looking towards the lord.All the lord is telling me is be still. That’s all, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. #BeStill.

RIM BlackBerry Monaco Touch and Sedonda outed (leaked, leaks, tech, news, report, update, 2011)

Images and specifications for new hitherto unseen BlackBerry messaging phones have surfaced online, as it looks to build on the huge sales for the Torch and the warm critical reception afforded its latest operating system.

Unearthed by Crackberry, the Monaco Touch features a 3.7-inch touchscreen, plus 4GB of internal memory, a none too shabby five megapixel camera and a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor to keep everything ticking over smoothly.

And in line with the highest-end smartphones we’re seeing of late (CF: the Google Nexus S), it’ll also pack support for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology for contactless payments and tethering too.

Specs for the second leaked smartie, the BlackBerry Sedonda, are thinner on the ground. But we do know that it’ll also pack NFC support, plus A-GPS, an 800Mhz processor and all your standard connectivity options (think: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi).

UK availability and carriers for both handsets have yet to be confirmed. But they’re expected to drop around August or September this year.
