Green Plant on my porch, Auckland, New Zealand (July, 2009, David Lim)

I have seen this type of plant in Auckland, but do not know its name. I like the geomatric type of pattern of this plant, though it does not have flower, but the leaves resembles some or of flower pattern.

Mt Eden, Auckland, New Zealand, 19 July, 2009 (Taking photos of the scenery).

During a lazy and cold winter afternoon, I decided to hop on the car bring my digital SLR to take some picture on top of Mt. Eden. The wind was blowing very strong and not many tourists visited the place. I should have been there around 3.00pm not after 4.00pm, as the sun sets early during Winter months. Any way, I tripped and have a slight fall, skinned my knee but no big drama (my digital camera was safe, not even a scratch on it). There were two playful seagulls soaring in the sky, above the giant creator of Mt Eden. It very hard to get a clear shot of these bird on a gloomy day. I took about 100 photos before going down from Mt Eden and to get a warm cup of coffee and a break!

Successful Job Application?

A student applied for a job at a Welsh tourist attraction using the email address 'atleastimnotwelsh'. James Kettle, 21, also sent his job request to the wrong address, reports The Sun. The horticulture undergraduate sent it to Aberglasney Gardens, Carmarthenshire, instead of the National Botanic Garden of Wales. A manager at Aberglasney replied: "It may be prudent to change your email address. It could have a detrimental effect on any career aspirations of working in Wales." James, a student at Pershore Agricultural College in Warwickshire, said: "I feel a right fool. "I set up the email at school because several Welsh kids were in my year. I forgot it was with my application and didn't mean to be offensive."
