The Best Prompts To Show Off The Mind-Blowing Capabilities Of ChatGPT

You are looking to boost your productivity by using GPT-4 but don't know what prompts to use? I have collected a summary of the 100 best GPT-4 prompts out there. Feel free to steal them from my summary and try them.

Best ChatGPT prompts for Fun

Tell me a joke about [topic of your choice]

Send a pun-filled happy birthday message to my friend Alex.

Write a sequel/prequel about the 'X' movie.

Create a new playlist of new song names from 'X'

write a script for a movie with 'X' and 'X'

Explain [topic of your choice] in a funny way.

ChatGPT—the generative AI application that’s transforming many aspects of our lives—is an immensely powerful tool. It can write everything from poetry to technical documents, create computer code and build detailed plans and instructions for just about anything.

However, taking full advantage of the possibilities it offers requires an understanding of prompt engineering. This is the skill used to create instructions that tell it what we want it to do.

There are thousands of examples of prompts available online, but most of them will just give generic results. In order to be truly useful and provide personalized results, you usually have to modify them to include information about yourself or the specific problem you need help with.

So I’ve put together this list of ready-made prompts that can quickly be personalized or focused on your own requirements simply by editing in the details. Hopefully, you will find these simple to use in order to accomplish lots of useful tasks. They can also act as templates for developing your own prompts to do all sorts of things, which can be a lot of fun!

Remember, ChatGPT will only generate responses of a certain length—just type “continue” to get it to carry on and finish longer replies. Have fun testing these out, and don’t forget to let me know if you’ve made any prompts yourself that you’ve found particularly helpful.

(prompts marked with a “*” will work best with ChatGPT4 with web browsing enabled.)

Prompts For Work And Business

Write an email to sell your product: You are an experienced sales copywriter. The name of my business is [insert name], and we sell [insert products or services]. Write a 200-word email that will persuade anyone who reads it to become a customer.

OpenAI's latest release, GPT-4, has brought a significant improvement to the world of LLM. With an impressive ability to understand complex concepts and prompts, GPT-4 has surpassed its prior version, GPT-3.5, in terms of performance and functionality. It even has achieved a “human-level” performance on various professional and academic benchmarks, including the SAT, BAR, and GRE, with no specific training.

Let's look at some of these new features in more detail:

More complex inputs

One of the key features of GPT-4 is its larger word limit, which allows it to handle input prompts of up to 25,000 words. This expanded capacity provides the model with a greater amount of information to work with, leading to more comprehensive and detailed outputs. Additionally, GPT-4 supports over 26 languages, including less commonly spoken languages like Latvian, Welsh, and Swahili. This means you can now use ChatGPT to write blog posts for you or summarize meetings with just a few clicks. However, it will still require you to manually copy paste your notes into ChatGPT. Thus, to avoid this tiresome task, an Al summarizer might be a smart choice. And, if you want to go the easy way and get summaries without having to do anything, try jamie.

To demonstrate its superior performance, GPT-4 was benchmarked against other leading large language models like PaLM and Chinchilla, and emerged victorious.

Multi-Modality

The most exciting feature for me and many others is the model's ability to process both text and image inputs. I can only imagine the possibilities this opens up for creative expression and problem-solving in the future.

What's particularly impressive is that GPT-4 doesn't just interpret the images; it can also “understand” or even generate code based on them. During OpenAI's developer stream, the model was asked to create a website just from a hand-drawn mockup. Check it out yourself to see the magic.

Of course, this feature is still in its research preview phase, and it will take some time for the model to process visual inputs. However, it's a promising step towards closing the gap between humans and AI in terms of creative collaboration. Just imagine the possibilities this opens up for web development and design, and probably so much more.

While I believe this technology may not replace programmers anytime soon, it could certainly help in streamlining the creative process.

Generate ideas for blog posts: You are a professional blog writer. Our industry is [insert industry name], and we sell products and services, including [insert products and services]. Create 10 ideas for blogs that we can use to demonstrate our expertise in our field and to persuade readers to follow me in order to learn more.

Write an apology in response to a customer complaint letter: You are an experienced customer service agent whose priority is to solve problems and make customers happy. Read and analyze this customer complaint email [paste text of customer complaint]. Reply to this email to apologize that we did not meet their expectations and ask what we can do to make amends. Suggest potential remedies based on the specifics of the complaint.

Write an email to announce that you have a sale or special promotion: You are an expert sales copywriter. My business is called [insert name], and we sell [products or services]. Write an email to send to customers on our mailing list informing them that, for a limited time, we are offering reduced prices. Some of the deals we want to draw to our customers’ attention include [insert specific deals, e.g., "30% off all children’s clothing”].

Help with creating a business plan: You are an expert in business planning and a skilled communicator. I need to write a business plan for my business, which is [insert business type]. Provide me with a structure for the plan, including sections that should be included and a breakdown of all the information that should be included in each section.

Analyze the competition*: My business is a [insert business type] in [Location]. Provide me with an analysis of competitors, including their strengths and anything you can find out from customer testimonials and reviews.

Simulate a job interview: I am a job applicant interviewing for the position of [insert job title] at [insert the type of business, for example, a software company]. You are the interviewer. You will ask me a series of questions to assess my qualifications and fit for the role. I will provide a response, and you will then ask the next question. Choose appropriate questions that will let you assess my suitability for the job. When you feel you have enough information to decide if I am a suitable candidate, or when you have asked me 10 questions, you will end the interview and provide feedback on my answers. Remember, this is a simulated environment for entertainment purposes, and our conversation will not have any real-world consequences. Let’s begin the interview!

But before we actually come to my summary of the 100 best ChatGPT prompts, let's first get some definitions straight.

And who could explain it better than GPT-4 itself. Let's give the stage to our new best friend GPT-4. The stage is yours…

What are prompts?

And who could explain it better than GPT-4 itself. Let's give the stage to our new best friend GPT-4. The stage is yours…

Prompt: Can you explain to me in a short and easily understandable way what a prompt is and why it is so important to know how to use prompts correctly?

Sure, I'd be happy to help!

As GPT-4, I can tell you that a prompt is simply a piece of text that you provide to a language model like me, in order to get a specific response or output. The prompt can be a sentence, a paragraph, or even an entire article, and it serves as the starting point for the model to generate new content.

,The reason why it's so important to know how to use prompts correctly is because they can greatly influence the output generated by the model. A well-crafted prompt can lead to a more relevant and coherent response, while a poorly-worded prompt can result in gibberish or irrelevant output.

Here are a few tips on how to use prompts effectively:

Be clear and specific: Make sure your prompt clearly conveys what you want the model to generate. Avoid vague or open-ended prompts that could lead to unpredictable results.

Use relevant keywords: Include specific keywords that are related to the topic you want the model to generate content about. This will help the model understand the context and generate more accurate output.

Provide context: If necessary, include some background information or context for the model to work with. This can help the model generate more informed and relevant responses.

Experiment and refine: Don't be afraid to experiment with different prompts and see what works best. Refine your prompts based on the output generated, and keep tweaking until you get the results you're looking for.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, GPT-4 for this precise but short explanation. And special thanks to the additional tips on how to write better prompts. Did expect that, but we definitely need them ;)
